A member ofthe 'Voyages pour la planète' network, we have undertaken to respect the principles of ecotourism and sustainable tourism: La Bigotie is in a very fine rural setting (with no visual or sound pollution), facing the 'Grand Site' Monpazier whose landscapes have conservation protection. |
La Bigotie has been restored with respect of the environment and history with regard to both the architecture and the use of materials (stone, lime, wooden floors, etc.) while using equipment for good mastery of energy (solar panels for domestic hot water, condensation gas boiler, wood burner, low consumption light bulbs). We conserve and use diversity: • orchard collection in partnership with the Conservatoire végétal régional d’Aquitaine, network of planted hedges, ecological pond; • LPO bird gardens; • cultivation techniques that respect the environment: wood chippings, composting, mulching, rainwater recovery, etc. We help visitors to gain awareness during the visit of the estate, the provision of literature and the discovery of local products and garden produce, especially in breakfasts. |
