Véronique and Bernard Pouverel-Mure are passionate about gardens and, since 2003, have been involved in the wonderful adventure of bringing back to life this 5-hectare estate that is representative of local history.
- Work started with the planting of a 1-hectare collection orchard with help from the Conservatoire régional d’Aquitaine. This was followed by laying out, in the heart of the orchard, five enclosed gardens on themes related to the history of the estate.
- The orchard/garden, somewhere between a field on a farm and an ornamental garden, gives visitors an original, meaningful experience. It evokes the history of the place, the riches of its 'terroir' and the current preoccupations of contemporary gardens with regard to questions of biodiversity, economic management of water and plant resistance to drought, protection of the soil, etc.
